This is a beautiful Hofner Congress made in Germany sometime between the end of 1956 and summer of 1957, It's body work, neck and fretboard are in exceptional condition. It even still has it's original Paper Label inside, even though I'm pretty sure the guarantee is up now! The machine heads and tailpiece have been replaced with modern gold plated versions, however they are still of the same style in keeping with the original design. It has also had a passive neck pickup fitted which runs to a quarter jack socket on the bottom of the guitar.
